BacktestFlow is manual backtesting software designed for forex traders. Users replay historical charts without knowing future prices, placing trades exactly as they would live. Every trade is saved with notes, tags, and checklists, and statistics build automatically from the recorded trades. - What is BacktestFlow?
- A browser app for manual backtesting on historical data, with a journal for your live trades and one statistics engine for both. You replay the chart, trade it by hand and read the numbers.
- Do I need to code to use BacktestFlow?
- No. You place every trade yourself on a real chart. Pine Script indicator requests are optional, on the Max plan, and converted by hand.
- Is BacktestFlow free?
- There is a free plan, and you do not need a card to start. You can upgrade to Pro or Max when the limits get in your way.
- How does the prop firm mode work?
- On the paid plans, you set a profit target, daily and max drawdown as a percentage of the starting balance. Limits are checked on equity, the daily one resets at 00:00 UTC of the chart clock, and the first pass or fail is locked. It is a simulation, not affiliated with any prop firm.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. Within 14 days of your first payment, you can write to hello@backtestflow.com and receive a full refund. It applies once per account, to the first payment of a subscription, monthly or annual. Renewals and plan changes are not refundable.
