What does the £150 online will service cover?

The £150 online service includes a solicitor-reviewed will for straightforward instructions, including executor appointments, beneficiaries, cash gifts and who receives the rest of your estate. It also includes one round of changes before final issue, printing and delivery, signing guidance and copies in your Will Vault. The price includes VAT.

How long does it take to make a will with GetWill?

The online questions usually take around 15 minutes. You can stop and return on the same device. After you proceed, a solicitor reviews your instructions before suitable final documents are issued.

Who provides the legal service?

GetWill is a technology platform provided by Ailex Ltd. Legal services are provided by Fifty Six Law Ltd, where a qualified solicitor reviews your instructions and follows up if clarification is needed.

What if my will is not straightforward?

It starts with a professional consultation. A professional consultation costs £150, including VAT. Afterwards a written fee estimate for your will is sent. If you go ahead, the £150 is deducted from that price. You might need one if you live outside the UK, own property abroad, own a business or farm, want to provide for someone who is disabled or vulnerable, or want a trust beyond a straightforward children's trust.

When is additional review and a tailored quote needed?

Substantive company document review, business succession advice, advice on wills in different countries, specialist tax advice and bespoke trust planning need a separately agreed scope and fee. Even where the final wording is simple, reading the documents and advising on their implications is professional work. We explain what needs review before you commit to further work.
