- When are my messages actually sent?
- Messages are sent after you leave this earth. FinalSaying determines your passing if you don't respond to check-in emails and the following reminders. Until then, everything remains encrypted and stored.
- How does the check-in system work?
- You set a check-in frequency from every 15 days to yearly. Clicking the link in a check-in email or signing into your dashboard counts as a check-in. If you miss a check-in, multiple gentle email reminders are sent before any delivery is triggered.
- Can I send a WhatsApp message after death?
- Yes. FinalSaying delivers messages on WhatsApp, which is what makes it different from most services. WhatsApp itself can only schedule messages while you're alive and signed in, so FinalSaying acts as the dead man's switch by delivering your WhatsApp messages after you stop responding to check-ins. WhatsApp delivery is a Premium feature.
- Are my messages secure?
- Message text and subjects are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Messages are only delivered according to your check-in status and the rules you set. The encryption key is held on the server, so this is not end-to-end encryption, and photo attachments are not encrypted.
- Is Premium a subscription?
- No, Premium is a one-time €29 payment that gives you lifetime access to all features. There is no recurring billing and no subscription to cancel.
