Flexilay is a layby (layaway) payment provider for ecommerce stores and invoicing platforms. Customers select Flexilay at checkout, choose a deposit amount and payment frequency (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly), and Flexilay collects payments automatically through the merchant's Stripe account. Unlike buy now, pay later services, Flexilay involves no lending, credit checks, interest charges, or late fees — it is a transparent payment scheduling platform.
The platform works with major ecommerce platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Odoo for checkout layby, and with accounting systems like Xero, QuickBooks, and Odoo for converting invoices into payment plans. Merchants receive payments as they are collected by Stripe on their normal payout schedule.
Flexilay provides merchants with a dashboard to manage all payment schedules, track outstanding balances, and handle refunds or cancellations. Customers access a branded portal to view payment dates, pay early if desired, and manage their payment plan. The platform is designed to increase average order value and reduce cart abandonment without introducing lending risk.
