- Do I need a server?
- No. Toolaby hosts the accounts, licences, checkout and webhooks. Your extension integrates through toolaby.js, which verifies licences on the device.
- Where do the payments go?
- Payments go to your own Stripe account as a charge on it. On Hobby, Toolaby takes 0.5% as an application fee at payment time. On Pro there is no fee. Payouts, refunds and disputes stay in your Stripe dashboard.
- Can I leave?
- Yes. One click exports your tools, prices, customers, licences, subscriptions and your signing key. With the key, a server of your own can keep signing licences that every installed extension already trusts.
- Can I switch from ExtensionPay?
- Yes. Your code can stay as-is: Toolaby answers ExtPay calls, and one command switches it and copies your plans. Your subscribers move with their cards and renewal days, at 0.5% per sale instead of 5%, or $25 a month with no fee.
