Q&A
- Is this an official government tool?
- No. It is independent software that fills the Department of Labor's public WH-347 form and reads public SAM.gov wage data. It is not affiliated with the DOL or SAM.gov.
- Does the demo use SAM.gov?
- No. The demo uses sample data and does not connect to SAM.gov. It is designed to show the WH-347 workflow and PDF output. Live wage-determination checks are available in the signed-up version.
- Where do the wage rates actually come from?
- Directly from the wage determination on sam.gov, matched to the WD number on your contract. If a determination has been superseded, you will see that before you rely on it.
- Does it replace payroll software?
- No. It does not run your payroll and there is no import from QuickBooks, Gusto, or other payroll software. You enter each worker's hours and classification directly in the same fields the WH-347 asks for. Gross pay and overtime calculate while you type and the rate check runs at the same time.
- What about apprentice rates?
- Mark a worker as RA (apprentice) and enter their program's percentage of the journeyworker rate. The rate check applies that percentage automatically. If you have not set a percentage yet, it flags the row instead of skipping it.
