Overview
Payclave provides non-custodial hosted checkout for merchants accepting stablecoin payments. Customers can pay using any supported token from their own wallet—including ETH, stablecoins, and other verified tokens across multiple networks—or use Scan or copy instructions to send funds. Payclave converts the payment into USDC or USDT on Polygon and settles it directly to the merchant's configured settlement wallet without holding funds.
The platform creates checkout sessions, payment links, and invoices while maintaining payment records and webhook delivery. Merchants receive an independent onchain verification of settlement before an invoice is marked paid. Payclave never holds customer payments or merchant settlement, never receives or stores private keys, and does not function as a bank or exchange.
Merchants can build and test their integration in free test mode before enabling live payments. The service includes a hosted checkout experience, API access with SDKs for JavaScript and React, separate test and live credentials, and signed webhook notifications for order fulfillment. Settlement goes directly to the merchant's wallet with no payout step required.

- What does non-custodial mean?
- Payclave never holds customer payments or merchant settlement and never receives, stores, or has access to private keys. Customers authorize payment from their own wallet or send funds using one-time deposit instructions, and Payclave records and verifies the onchain settlement.
- Can customers pay with any token?
- Customers can pay with tokens already in their wallet, such as ETH, stablecoins, and other verified tokens across supported networks, or use Scan or copy deposit instructions. The payment route converts what they send so the merchant receives USDC or USDT on Polygon when a route is available.
- What does Payclave charge?
- Payclave charges a flat 0.7% platform fee for each completed live payment. The fee comes from the invoice amount, so the customer pays that amount and the merchant receives 99.3%. There is no monthly or setup fee, and network costs are separate.
- How does Payclave confirm a payment?
- Payclave checks onchain settlement independently and verifies the transaction, settlement wallet, token contract, chain, amount, timing, confirmation state, and duplicate use. Underpaid, overpaid, expired, failed, and duplicate attempts remain distinct payment outcomes.
- How do refunds work?
- Payclave does not automate refunds because it never controls the merchant's settlement wallet. The merchant must send any refund from their own wallet and verify the customer's destination address. Payclave keeps the original invoice, payment, and webhook records for reconciliation.
