Overview
Reportpost automates the distribution of Xero financial reports by emailing them on a schedule you set. Instead of manually exporting reports like the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Aged Receivables and 14 others from Xero each month, Reportpost pulls fresh figures from Xero at the scheduled time and sends them to clients, directors and team members as PDF, Excel or CSV files. Reports can include comparison columns, custom filters by tracking category, and a cover page with your logo. Recipients receive ordinary email attachments and don't need a Xero login or Reportpost account. Set up as many schedules as needed, sending to up to 20 people per schedule.

Q&A
- Can't Xero email reports on a schedule itself?
- Not yet. Xero stated in May 2026 on its product ideas forum that it was exploring ways to email and auto-schedule reports, but has not given a release date. Reportpost automates this now.
- What data does Reportpost access in my Xero?
- Reportpost accesses only what it needs to build reports: report data, invoices, bills, payments, credit notes and basic organisation settings. It also receives your name and email when you sign in. All permissions are read-only, so Reportpost cannot change anything in your Xero.
- Does Reportpost store my financial data?
- No. Reportpost builds each report at send time and does not keep the files afterwards. It stores only your schedules, recipients and a log of what was sent and when. Xero access tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
- Do recipients need a Xero login to open the reports?
- No. Reports arrive as PDF, Excel or CSV email attachments that anyone can open. Directors, managers and clients view them without a Xero login or a Reportpost account. Only the person setting up the schedules needs to connect Xero.
- What happens when a recipient replies to a report email?
- The reply comes to you. Every report email uses your email address as the reply-to, so all responses go directly to you.
